Crisis…by any other name
Take a good look at the young people, who crossed the border illegally and are being held until the U.S. Government can decide what to do with them. While the argument is whether to call it a “crisis” or a “problem”…it is certainly a disgrace. These are the young and vulnerable. God will hold someone accountable in the long run.

But whoever causes one of these little ones who believe in me to sin, it would be better for him to have a great millstone fastened around his neck and to be drowned in the depth of the sea. Matthew 18:16
Many of these children come from places where the Holy Scripture is part of their background and hold beliefs of the Roman Catholic Church…so who is telling them to do wrong by breaking laws…or to leave their home and family to places that put them in harms way? Parents? Gangs? Criminals? Governments?
Where are the local church clergy of their countries to tell them “Don’t let your children go on this dangerous trip…and certainly don’t take them? If you are paying money to criminals to take them, don’t sell your souls? You are responsible for your child!” The clergy holds great influence with their people and none have been quoted as intervening to keep the children safe.
Someone will be held accountable by God for their lack of responsibility to protect the most vulnerable…the children, whether teens or the very young. Read again..“…it would be better to have a millstone fastened around his neck and to be drowned in the depth of the sea.” (Not a pretty picture of judgment and accountability.)
I am asking my readers to PRAY for this crisis of the young at our border. Government is not a parent. It was never intended to be. Neither are the overwhelmed border agents who must take care of them.
Prayer: Dear Father in Heaven, look down on this crisis of your youngest. Please give those who are in the midst of this terrible situation the knowledge and wisdom that they need. Help parents to turn to You for their problems. We ask all in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen
