GOD’S BEAUTIFUL EARTH
The leaves are falling or have already fallen in some areas, and those in colder areas wait for the beauty of the snow. For us in Florida, it is one of the best seasons of the years. We are out planting our roses and the very hot weather has turned to a wonderful coolness. No wonder we wait for this special time of year!
My Uncle John, in North Carolina, takes great care of his plants in his sunroom, as the weather begins to turn colder. Recently he sent me a picture of his begonia. By the way, Uncle John will be 99 just before Christmas and up until recently, he was mowing his own yard. Just about a couple of years ago, he was playing golf. Oh, I hope I have his genes!
I will have to admit when Thanksgiving is over, I will enjoy pulling out all the Christmas decorations and try to pretend that the palm tree outside has a little snow among the twinkling lights. That is what the snow spray cans are for, isn’t it?
Since Thanksgiving is just before the Christmas season, the wild turkeys are coming around to see what there is to eat and hope no one wants them for a meal. The stars are bright and beautiful. I’ve also noticed that the moonlight is shining bright through my window.
Our big yellow Cassia bush is in full bloom and the oranges are growing just over the fence. The earth is the Lord’s and all we enjoy is from Him… in the east…west…north and south. To Him be the glory!
Consider the lilies, how they grow: they neither toil nor spin, yet I tell you, even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these. Luke 12:27
