N.W.BOYER…Christian Author… Looking for the Coming of Christ

THE OLDER I GET…

This blog is to share with my readers about the new book I have written, GROWING OLDER…EVERYONE WALKS THIS PATH.

I believe I was inspired one night, as I laid in my bed and thought and prayed about all my blessings of life. Yes, there have been some heartaches along the way, but most of my life has been finding wonderful adventures; people to love and being able to enjoy God’s beautiful universe.

The dove represents the Holy Spirit Who leads us through life

Thinking about the theme of the book, I was led to contact a few people I know and ask if they would like to be a part of this book, about growing OLDER…NOT OLD? Giving them a few topics to consider, they came through with some amazing stories of their lives.

The youngest of the book Contributors are in their 60’s and the oldest is 99, to be 100 years old in December, 2022. He still mows his yard on a riding mower! The youngest shares their love of Christ and music with those whom they minister to in Hospice care. All are active and have many thoughts to inspire and encourage us, regardless of age.

Some shared a few difficulties and heartaches, but most wrote about their happiness to live life straight on, no matter how many more years God will give to them. Their careers, families, hobbies and activities are part of this book and gives all of us the encouragement that no matter how much “older we get,” we can be greatly blessed with faith and love.

The older I get, the more I draw on God’s wisdom and thank Him for all He has promised to us.

Jeremiah 29:11 – “For I know the plans I have for you” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future”
