Remembering Our Children

More of our children have been lost to a mentally ill teen when he opened fire in another of our American schools.   The sadness and loss of beautiful people with great talents is hard to comprehend.

We dedicate this blog to them…from the smallest child in elementary school to our teens and young adults in high schools and colleges and the teachers/adults… along with their grieving families and friends.

Consider these statistics and it does not include mass shootings at social clubs or other locations such as theaters, restaurants, businesses, health facilities, homes, streets or churches.   Some who read this may not want to be reminded, but it is an extremely sad truth about the state of mental health in our nation.

Surely he was just daydreaming! Do you think?

What does it mean to stand  or place our hand over the heart, with respect, when our National Anthem is played or sung? Perhaps Coach Buzz Williams said it best to his team at Virginia Tech, especially in the light that some, who have been blessed in this country, have chosen not to do so.
